Surveying the landscape

Proliferating devices , designing for all devices of all different sizes or aspect ratio, Anything with a screen. This has just changed from TVs and Monitors to all sorts of devices such as smart phones , watches , tablets , smart devices such as fridges and washing machines. etc

• User-centered design: This approach to design focuses on the needs and goals of the user, and it involves extensive user research and testing to ensure that products and services are easy to use and meet the needs of the user.
• Responsive design: This approach to design involves creating products and services that are responsive to the needs and behaviors of the user. This includes designing for different devices and screen sizes, as well as adapting to the user's location and context.
• Natural user interfaces: These are interfaces that use natural, familiar methods of interaction, such as touch, gesture, and voice, to make products and services more intuitive and easy to use.
• Artificial intelligence and machine learning: These technologies are being used to create more intelligent and personalized products and services, which can adapt and learn from the user's behavior.

As technology continues to evolve, there will be many more advances in interaction design that will shape the future of digital products and services.

Content Shifting

Design is changing so much as devices are changing and there are so many devices, need to confront the challenge of new devices in the future as well. eg Alexa or Google home have no screens but still need design.

The Web was always fluid , first webpages were responsive and changed to different sizes.
