Glyph

A glyph is a special symbol or picture that is used in writing or drawing. a special character or illustration. It can be a letter, number or even a special character like a star or heart. They can be used to make text more interesting or to create a unique design.

We were given 2 pieces of text and had to use suitable fonts and layout for the content subject

Started off with creating a simple text layout using some hierarchy , layout and spacing for our first task , we will then add images later to enhance the design as well as adding colour.

We started off by using a related font to the text content to give the body of text more of a meaning and relatable.

Hyphens

A hyphen is a punctuation mark used to connect words together to form a compound word or to divide a word at the end of a line. Hyphens are also used in compound words such as "well-being" and to separate prefixes and suffixes to words such as "non-toxic" or "post-modern".

Ligatures

A ligature is a type of character that combines two or more individual letters into a single letterform. This is often used to improve the aesthetics of the written text and make it more legible. The most common ligature is "fi" in the word "finance”
