This week we looked at Logomarks aswell as all the different forms they cant take such as abstract, symbols etc. We created a basic Logomark mock for our banking brand and were tasked at researching a brand logo to see what makes it recognisable and good.

Researching Logos

I decided to look into the Airbnb logo as I had only realised recently that the logo had so many meanings and how they are shown.

The primary element of the Airbnb logomark is the symbol known as the "Belo." It is a stylized, simple and geometric representation of a person's head, comprising of a rounded shape with a triangular opening on the bottom. The Belo is intended to symbolize people, community, and connection.

The logomark also has Rounded Corners throughout, creating a friendly and approachable appearance. The softness of the corners adds a sense of warmth and openness, aligning with Airbnb's brand values of inclusivity and belonging.

After changing my brand name and font choice I have to create my logomark for my brand. I started off by sketching/ digital sketching to create my logomark. My goal was for it to remain clean and very simple but add a custom typography.
