I started off this project by deciding what data groups I would be gathering. I made a spreadsheet consisting of all the different types of data I would be gathering. This is broken down into subsections as follows. Sleep, Nutrition, Phone, Health, Travel. Even though for most the sections there is systems to gather the data I’ve created this spreadsheet so all the data can be in one place and make the process of visualising it far easier.

For Sleep I’ve sub sectioned it into the following categories, duration, bed time and wake up. I’m going to use my Smart Watch and through the use of Samsung Health app gather all the data. I may include details of sleep such as REM and none REM as an extra challenge depending on how the process goes.
For Nutrition I’ve sub sectioned it into the following categories, Calories, Protein, Carbohydrates, Fats, Sugar and Fibre. As someone who tracks all there Macronutrients on a daily basis this is also a very simple task. I’m using MyFitnessPal to log all the foods I eat via barcode or weight and then viewing daily/weekly totals.
For Phone I’ve sub sectioned it into the following categories, screen time, unlocks, notifications and finally time spent on each app. My Samsung phone already has these features built in so recording will be very easy
For health I’ve sub sectioned it into the following categories, steps, active minutes, active calories, heart rate and finally BW (Body Weight). For this section again I’m going to be using my Smart Watch and inputting data into Samsung Health to gather.
Once I gathered all my data it was put into my spreadsheet showing each day and then the averages/totals were worked out.
