Looking at other music apps to see what design they have done and the layout that is common amongst them. Looking at Spotify , Soundcloud and Apple Music I could see they all have very similar layouts which are very simple to understand. All have a basic navigation bar along the bottom of the screen with the music player minimized above it whilst main info like playlists and tracks are all in rectangular/ square boxes laid out very organised on the screen.
First off I started Mind mapping the elements of the project and the way to break it down into smaller sections so it was more digestible.
I started off by creating basic layouts / wireframes from initial thoughts just to get a base idea.
I also created a Journey Map for the user to see what it would be like to listen to a new song and all the screens that would need to be created.
I decided to go with a more circular bouncy feel layout contrast to what music apps are where everything is in boxes and feels very geometric
